Katherine Kaufman With 20 years of group instruction and 17 years of personal training under her belt Katherine is thrilled to spread her wings and join the 5 Focus team! After retiring from the musical theater at 24, Katherine threw herself into the wide world of fitness. A lot has changed in the industry since then, and not just leg warmers and spandex leotards. Major changes have taken place in the field of exercise science and Katherine stays up to date by attending the annual IDEA World Fitness Conventions and continuing her education with workshops and seminars. Having certifications ranging from Fittour personal trainer and group instructor to precision cycling, Kinesis and BOSU Master Trainer has allowed Katherine to work with clients ranging from the post partum mom to the competitive athlete. Often lovingly referred to as the Drill Sergeant or Coach Kitty, Katherine has come by these monikers honestly - she has taken good notes from her father, a retired army colonel and former college basketball coach. |

Kelly Connor Kelly Connor’s yoga practice took flight in 1997, when she did her first sun salutation. An active college athlete (cross-country, track and hockey), yoga began as a way to relieve tension in her body as well as her mind during athletic training. Kelly’s practice began with the physical study of yoga and naturally extended to a whole-life study and practice of the ancient art. Kelly has studied hatha, ashtanga, vinyasa and kundalini yoga. Meditation came as a natural accompaniment to Kelly’s asana practice. Kelly completed her 200 hour teacher training at the Shambhava Whole Yoga School in Denver, Colorado, and is a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance. |
